👋 I'm Wiki. Doctor by training, patient my whole life, solo founder as of this year
Where do I even start?
Maybe with a confession... that even as a doctor, I struggled to work out my own eczema triggers, armed with the same paper symptom diary patients are usually advised to keep 🙃 Years of 2am itching and guessing (the new detergent? stress? that pizza?) and my medical degree had no answers for my own skin.
So I did the unreasonable thing. Several, actually. I learnt to code back in med school. I left clinical work. I moved across the world to the Middle East to join an accelerator and learn how to build a company. Then I moved back to London and spent the last few months building Moya solo, an app that helps people with chronic conditions make sense of their own heath and see their own trends over time.
Tomorrow we launch here on Product Hunt. I have rewritten my maker comment four times today and I am not okay 😅
Two questions for you all:
1) Solo founders, how did you survive launch eve?
2) And if you live with a chronic condition, what would actually help you? I'd love any honest thoughts as feedback is everything for building the right thing!
