I did 800 cold calls to validate my SaaS at 15. What’s the #1 lesson you learned?

by

Hey everyone.

Im launching my first SaaS next week. Before doing it though, I wanted to say hi and ask for advice.

I built an AI tool that helps local businesses handle google reviews. Before writing code or anything like that, I made a ton of cold calls to plumbers, roofers and many other local service businesses.

The result was about 80+ conversations with owners. But zero sales.

I learned that:
First of all cold calling is probably the wrong channel for this. The owners are literally on roofs or under a sink when they answer.

Secondly, the problem is actually real. Most of the owners complained about not having enough time or review just being annoying to deal with, but it wasn't urgent enough to buy or book a meeting over the phone.

I'm launching Rewakely next week (I think you can see some info on my profile).

I'm still figuring learning and figuring out a lot, so for all the founders out there: what's the hardest lesson you learned launching your first product and how was the experience?

Thanks,

Thomas

Hi ! Your project seems amazing ! Google review can be very annoying...

As a 15 coder like you, I received some advices that could help you with your launch :

-Make sure you have some people who really follows you

-Try to help as much as you can on every forums so people knows you

-Give the name of your project on forum that are in your project's subject.

Sorry for my lack of english, I'm french.

Good luck with your launch !
