Hi Product Hunt, I’m Imran, co-founder of Relic AI, from Sarajevo

by•

Hi everyone. I’m Imran, a computer science engineer. Before Relic I built SquadUp, a mobile app for organizing sports activities around Sarajevo.

My co-founders and I kept saving useful links, PDFs and videos, then couldn’t find them when we needed them and redid research we’d already done. So we built Relic AI: save in one click from the browser, and it answers questions only from what you saved, with sources. We’re in beta, rough edges included.

I’m here to learn before our first launch. How do you keep track of the things you save to read or watch later?

Welcome Imran! My honest answer: the links I save, I almost never find again. What works for me is the opposite of saving, I write down the conclusion. When I research something for my app, competitor reviews for example, it goes into the project repo as a dated notes file with what I decided and why, next to the code it is about. The source is a footnote, the conclusion is the note. So my one wish for Relic would be that an answer can be kept as a note in itself, with its sources attached, because the second time I ask the same question I want my old answer, not the same search again. Answering only from what you saved is a great constraint, good luck with the beta.
