Hi Product Hunt! I’m Erika, interested in AI for everyday work

by•

Hi everyone, I’m Erika.

I work with the Anvita Mate team, focusing on a desktop AI workbench. I’d like to introduce myself and meet people thinking about how AI fits into everyday work.

I’m particularly interested in the less glamorous tasks: reviewing documents, organizing information, and preparing a useful brief from scattered notes. There are plenty of ways to generate a first draft; I’m curious about what makes a tool worth returning to once the initial excitement wears off.

I’d like to learn from people building or using productivity tools, especially how they decide what to automate and what to keep under manual control.

I hope to contribute to those discussions and share concrete examples as I have them.

If this overlaps with your work, I’d be glad to hear what you’re exploring. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome Erika. The line I draw between automatic and manual is not about how hard the task is, it is about how hard it is to undo. My AI assistant builds, runs tests and deploys routine backend changes on its own, and just tells me afterwards. Two things still need a word from me first: anything that destroys data, and anything that reaches real users, a store release for example. Everything reversible is automated, everything irreversible asks. It has held up well because it never depends on trusting the model more or less, only on the action. That might be a useful lens for a workbench too: the undo button decides what can run alone.
