Hi PH, I'm Mittal. I work on making WooCommerce stores fast without rebuilding them

by•

Hi everyone,

I'm Mittal. My background is technical SEO and ecommerce growth, mostly Magento and WooCommerce stores, so I spend a lot of time looking at why good shops load badly.

The pattern I keep seeing is that the store isn't the problem, the theme is. WooCommerce handles products, orders and checkout fine, but every page is assembled by a plugin-heavy theme on each request, and caching plugins can only do so much.

That's what I'm working on now: WOOHL (). It puts a server-rendered Vue storefront in front of an existing WooCommerce store while checkout stays on native WooCommerce. On the first store we moved, mobile PageSpeed went from 62 to 93 and the migration took about 5 hours.

I'm here to learn from this community, and I'd like to hear from you:

  1. If you've run or built on WooCommerce, what was the biggest performance headache: plugins, themes, images, or checkout?

  2. For those who've tried headless commerce, what made you go for it, or what put you off?

  3. What's the best thing you've found on Product Hunt for ecommerce or SEO?

Happy to answer questions about headless, Core Web Vitals or ecommerce SEO, and I'll reply to every comment.
