Hi I'm Troy. I built ClingNote - notes that attached to your files and work.

It started because my notes were always scattered. Id have notes about an Excel file sitting in OneNote, something about a PDF in Notepad, and then note about other stuff in Word saved in random folders throughout my computer. It was a mess to find them..

So I built the thing I wanted: notes that attach to your files and work.

Open the file later, and the note comes back with it. Switch to something else, and ClingNote switches context too.

It’s local first, Windows-only, and also has the normal note-taking stuff like rich text, Markdown, search, multiple notes per file, and a smaller, minimalist pop out notes.

The whole idea is basically:

Open the file. The note is there.

It’s finally out in the world now!
