Hi, I’m building a Personal AI that remembers over time

by

Hi everyone 👋

I’m part of the team at Lingluo Innovation, where we’ve been exploring a question that keeps coming up the more we use AI:

Why does AI still feel like it’s meeting us for the first time?

AI has become incredibly good at answering questions, writing, reasoning, and using tools.

But when you use it every day, something still feels missing: continuity.

It may understand what you’re asking right now, but it doesn’t always understand the longer story — your projects, preferences, relationships, past decisions, changing priorities, and what you’re trying to accomplish over time.

That problem led us to start building two things:

🧠 MemG — an AI-native long-term memory engine designed to help AI form, organize, update, retrieve, and use memory over time.

Guidy — a Personal AI built on top of long-term memory, designed not only to remember and understand you, but eventually to proactively help with the things that matter.

Our thinking has changed quite a bit while building it.

At first, we thought the problem was simply:

“AI needs to remember more.”

But we gradually realized that storing more information is actually the easy part.

The harder questions are:

What deserves to be remembered?

What should eventually be forgotten?

How should memories change when the user changes?

When is something from the past actually relevant again?

And when should AI proactively help — without becoming intrusive?

That’s the part of Personal AI I find most interesting.

We’re currently preparing Guidy for its first beta, and I joined this community to meet more people who are actually building, shipping, testing, and learning from real users.

I’d love to exchange feedback, learn from other makers, and share what we discover while working on long-term memory and Personal AI.

So, nice to meet everyone 👋

What are you building right now — and what problem made you start building it?
