Hi Everyone! I'm Meer, the founder behind ReadRiff.
Hey everyone!
I'm Meer, an indie founder from Mumbai, India, and I'm excited to finally become part of the Product Hunt community.
I've always been curious about how people learn, discover ideas, and make sense of the overwhelming amount of information online. That curiosity eventually led me to start building ReadRiff, an independent publication focused on helping people find thoughtful, high-quality content across AI, technology, business, psychology, philosophy, science, productivity, and lifelong learning.
What I've enjoyed most so far isn't just building the product; it's talking to other founders. Some of the biggest improvements I've made came from honest conversations and feedback rather than sitting behind my screen trying to solve everything alone.
Outside of ReadRiff, I enjoy web development, graphic design, video editing, exploring new startup ideas, learning about technology, philosophy, and turning interesting concepts into things people can actually use.
I'm here to learn from experienced makers, support other launches, share what I learn along the way, and hopefully contribute back to the community as ReadRiff grows.
A few questions for everyone:
What product are you currently building?
What's one lesson you wish you'd learned earlier as a founder?
If you're an early-stage founder, what's your biggest challenge right now?
Looking forward to meeting everyone and learning from your experiences. Thanks for having me!

Hi Meer, welcome to Product Hunt! ReadRiff sounds like a great project—curating quality content across tech and philosophy is definitely much needed.
As a fellow maker, I'm currently building a website with zero backlinks and no domain authority yet, so I'd love to learn from your experience! How did you approach getting your initial backlinks and building DA for ReadRiff? Any tips or strategies that worked best for you?
@minhnguyen3719 Hi Minh, thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words.
To be honest, I'm still at the very beginning of that journey, so I don't think I'm the right person to advise on building DA just yet. 😄
My current focus isn't on chasing backlinks first; it's on building something people genuinely find useful. I'm publishing high-quality evergreen content, sharing my progress in founder communities, listing ReadRiff on startup directories, engaging with other makers, and asking for feedback whenever I can.
I hope that if the content consistently provides value, backlinks will come more naturally over time rather than through aggressive link building.
That said, I'm also learning as I go. If I discover strategies that work well for ReadRiff, I'd be happy to share my experience with the community.
Out of curiosity, what has worked best for you so far?
@meershettigar I'm struggling with website DA now, I saw yours with 2 backlinks in MOZ so I just asked.
@minhnguyen3719 Haha, those two backlinks are honestly just organic ones. I haven't done any backlink outreach yet. 😄
One came from a startup directory, and another was from an early mention while I was sharing ReadRiff in founder communities. So I'm definitely not doing anything special at the moment.
I'm treating DA as a long-term outcome rather than a short-term goal. Right now I'm focused on genuinely useful publishing content, getting listed on reputable directories, and engaging with communities where the target audience already hangs out.
Hopefully, as ReadRiff grows, the backlinks will grow naturally too. Wishing you the best with your website as well; we're both figuring it out as we go!
