Hey PH! 👋 I want my design studio to better serve indie makers and entrepreneurs.
I'm Jesse, the artist behind The Ordinary Co., a subscription-based unlimited design studio with heaps of experience in branding for the healthcare, telecom, transportation, and entertainment industries. 🎨
I've been lurking Product Hunt for a few weeks and it's clearly a vibrant community that I'm honestly excited to join. I'm really passionate about design and I hope to discover how to share that in ways that are genuinely useful and valuable. I'm eager to learn how I might tailor my services to best suit the needs of indie makers, entrepreneurs, and startups.
Specifically, I'd like to address:
What visual design needs does your product team have?
A standout logo and website are core to any brand, but it can extend so much farther. Every interaction with investors or customers is an opportunity to communicate your brand. What pricing structure is most appealing to you?
In the past I've charged hourly or at a fixed per-project price. I've moved to a design-as-service subscription model because it allows customers to know exactly what to expect, even if their needs evolve over time. (Plus, it cuts out estimating and time tracking on my end, which is admittedly pretty great!)If you have used professional design services, what was your experience like?
What were the most important benefits? What were the most critical stumbling blocks?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences. If you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
