Hey, I'm Scott

Hey all — Scott here, based in Nashville. By day I'm not a professional developer, but I've been teaching myself iOS development by building Retrieve, a native flashcard app for iOS.

The short version: I was an Anki user for years but got frustrated with the dated UI, the sync bugs, and the lack of a simple "cards due today" widget. So I decided to build the app I wanted — native SwiftUI, the real FSRS spaced-repetition algorithm (not the older SM-2 stuff), a Home/Lock Screen widget, and cross-deck search. Free to use, with a one-time unlock for premium features — no subscriptions, ever.

I'm excited to be part of this community — always happy to talk spaced repetition, indie iOS dev, going from zero to shipped, or lessons learned building solo!
