I'm Thomas Tao, I'm dedicated to develop useful products that can make everyone's life easier.

I have been developing SignalHub (). Here is my story:

I am done with information overwhelming, clickbait, and valueless long commentary articles. To solve this, I have tried many news apps and tools, including WSJ, TechCrunch, The Information, Reddit, X, newsletters, and RSS readers to track the information I care about.

But I kept running into the same problems:

  • I have to switch between more than ten apps and websites, spending a lot of time reading every day. Yet for an article of about 500 words, the key information is usually less than 50 words.

  • If I forget or do not have time to read those endless feeds, I feel FOMO.

  • For less popular websites, I need to manually check for updates on a regular basis.

  • Most "RSS reader + GenAI" products are very expensive and still have strict token limits.

That is why I built SignalHub. It uses an LLM agent to track and filter information according to my instructions and predefined trusted sources 24/7. When it finds matching signals, it notifies me via email and Discord. I have also found a way to make it very cheap. Currently, it is free to use. I have not decided the final price yet, but you can expect it to be quite low, with no hard limits.

I would really appreciate feedback on:

  • Whether the signal quality feels high enough

  • What features or functions you expect

  • Whether you need a separate app to receive signals

  • Whether you find it hard to use

If you try it and run into any issues, I will be in the thread and happy to answer questions.
