From Executive to Builder: Why I’m building an OS for the "Human" side of leadership

by

Hey Product Hunt community 👋

I’ve been a long-time lurker, watching how you all build and launch. I’m finally stepping out of the shadows because I’ve spent the last year obsessed with a specific, expensive gap in how we work. My background isn't traditional tech, it’s HR and Operations. I’ve spent my career advising executives on how organizations actually run.

The realization that changed everything: Companies spend millions on software to manage projects, but almost nothing to help managers actually manage people. In that gap, leadership falls apart.

  • Managers rely on memory.

  • High-stakes conversations vanish into the ether.

  • Expectations get fuzzy three days after a 1:1.

I started building the Vertex Suite to solve this. I'm currently refining AspectOS, which acts as a "Leadership OS" to capture real-time moments, prep for 1:1s, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. It’s the tool I wish I’d had for the last decade. I’m currently in the "lab" phase with a dozen testers (from frontline managers to CEOs) and I’m here to learn from this community before a full "Product of the Day" push.

I’d love to hear from the leaders here: What part of managing people feels the most chaotic for you right now? Is it the follow-ups, the prep, or the simple anxiety of forgetting a key conversation?

I’m looking forward to finally being part of the conversation.
