Conference season is starting, where are you heading?
Hi everyone! I'm Andriana, based in Warsaw. I do business development and I'm one of the co-founders of a small team building a sales workspace. Before that I spent a lot of time on cold outreach, discovery calls and way too many spreadsheets.
Autumn is conference season and I'm planning my calendar right now. I'll be at Web Summit, and I'm still deciding on a few smaller events.
Honestly, some of my best conversations last year happened at Riga COMM and not at the big ones. And one thing that surprised me. For another conference I joined the WhatsApp group, then didn't even make it to the event. Still, just from that chat I ended up on a few calls with people I'd never have met otherwise.
Which conferences are you planning to go to this season? And which one from last year was actually worth it, not just for the talks but for the people you met?

Hi Andriana, I went to a FemmePalette event in Prague about a month ago and really liked it. It was insightful and the smaller size made it easy to actually talk to people, which matches what you said about the big ones. They run a lot of events through the year (https://femmepalette.com).
I'm not making it to Web Summit this year. This season I'm going to LEAP Summit (https://leapsummit.com) in Zagreb, where I'm located, and next year I'm planning on the Women in Tech Summit (https://womenintechsummit.pl). It's in Warsaw, your city, so I wanted to ask: are you thinking of going to that one too?
