Community guy + maker. I've watched 30 founders kill their own communities by going quiet.

I'm Mason I run communities and build small things on the side. The pattern I keep seeing goes like this: a founder posts daily for three weeks, gets real traction, feels good about it, then vanishes for a month because the product got busy. Comes back to crickets. Blames the algorithm. I've done it myself, so no judgment but the algorithm was never the problem. The disappearing was.
Anyway, that's my whole thing. I'm here to meet builders who actually show up. So tell me what are you building, and where's your community hanging out right now? Drop it below and I'll come say hi.

Welcome, Mason, and the going quiet pattern is very real. I build a mobile app that makes personal songs. Its community mostly lives inside the app: a feed where people publish their songs, with likes and comments. Outside it, my answer to the busy month problem is batching: TikTok lyric clips get made and scheduled a few weeks ahead, so a busy release week does not mean silence. Curious, in your 30 cases, did scheduled content hold the line, or do people notice the founder is gone anyway?
