A Chrome extension can use the session I already have — no auth, no proxies, and platforms don't flag it because it's just my browser doing what it already does. So Insight Social is that idea executed across 6 platforms: Facebook, X / Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, and TikTok. Pick a source (hashtag, profile, feed, search), pick what to extract (posts, profiles, comments, followers), hit Scrape, export to CSV. Pricing follows the same philosophy: 1 run = 1 scrape session, with unlimited posts inside it. Free tier is 10 runs/month. Pro is $4.99/mo for 300 runs. I never wanted a user to feel taxed per row. How the build evolved: • Started Facebook-only. Realized the plugin architecture was the real product — each new platform took ~1 week instead of a rebuild. • Originally tried clever DOM scraping. Switched to intercepting the platforms' own GraphQL/JSON responses — way more reliable. • Added scheduled scraping after users kept asking "can it just run every Monday?"
