Hey Product Hunt! We built I Hate Converter because “upload a file, wait for a server, trust that it disappears” should not be the default way to change a file format. I Hate Converter runs supported conversions in your browser using browser APIs and local WebAssembly. That means your images, PDFs, archives, documents, data files, audio, and video stay on your device—no account, upload queue, or server-side fallback. We have deliberately avoided listing conversions that only work by sending a file to a server. If a format cannot run locally, we would rather be clear about that than pretend it is private. It is free to use today. We would especially value feedback on: - the next conversion pair you need most; - formats where local processing becomes difficult or unreliable; and - whether the privacy and compatibility limits are clear enough before you start. Thanks for trying it—and for helping us make file conversion less of a privacy compromise.
