HypeWatching - Crowdsourced trends & insights from around the world

Hi, I'm Thomas, the maker of HypeWatching. I built this because I wanted to know about new local trends before anyone else, and there was basically no way to do this :) I believe once a few more people start using it, it will become quite useful. How it works: people who consistently predict trends correctly get more influence and their votes weigh more heavily. This in turn improves the accuracy so hopefully we'll be able to actually predict hypes before they're in full swing! I used Python/Flask/Javascript/Bootstrap to make the website. Let me know if you have any questions! I'd also love to get some feedback so I can keep improving it :)
