Hydra Dev Studio - Databases, file transfer, source control and diff on Mac

Hydra Dev Studio puts your databases, file servers, cloud storage, Git and Subversion repositories and SSH terminals in one native Mac app. Edit server files in place, compare a server with your repo, and let AI agents like Claude Code use your connections without ever seeing a password.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Kyle. I make SQLPro Studio and the other SQLPro database apps for the Mac. Hydra started with my own screen: a database client, an FTP app, a terminal, a Git client and a cloud storage browser, all open at once, all holding their own copy of the same server's password. Hydra puts them in one native Mac window, with nineteen kinds of connection in one library, grouped by client or project. A few things I'm proud of: • Open a config file over SFTP, S3 or SMB, fix it and save it straight back, with its encoding and line endings left exactly as they were. • Compare a server folder with your Git or Subversion working copy and find out whether what is deployed is what is in the repository. • Claude Code and your own scripts can use your connections through Hydra without ever being given a password. Every call lands in a log you can read, and the risky ones (deleting things, running commands on a server) wait until you approve them. What it doesn't do yet: it is Mac only (macOS 26 on Apple silicon), it doesn't speak Redis or MongoDB, and Git has no interactive rebase. It's $99 once with a year of updates, and the 14-day trial has everything unlocked with no account. This week it's 25% off with code PRODUCTHUNT. I'd love to hear what is missing for your setup. I'm here all day.
