Should job seekers ever have to pay to get noticed by employers?

While building HuntStop, one thing has been very clear to me: job seekers should not have to pay just to improve their chances of being seen by employers.

Looking for a job is already stressful enough. People spend hours searching, changing resumes for different roles, filling out the same information again and again, and often never even knowing what happened after they applied.

That is one of the main reasons we started building HuntStop.

With HuntStop, job seekers can use free Auto Apply, create multiple profiles for different types of roles, apply faster, track their applications, and discover opportunities from verified employers.

The idea is simple: candidates should be judged based on their skills, experience, qualifications, and how well their profile matches the role, not based on how much they can afford to spend to get more visibility.

Our plan is to keep the platform helpful and accessible for job seekers, while employers become the main source of revenue through job postings, hiring tools, candidate discovery, and other recruitment features.

I’d really like to hear what others think about this.

Do you think job seekers should ever have to pay to get more visibility with employers?

And if you are currently job hunting, what is the most frustrating part of the application process for you?

We are still early with HuntStop, and feedback from real job seekers and employers will help us decide what to build next.
