Hello Product Hunt! I’m happy to (finally) be launching HuntHelper, an app I’ve been working on (and off, and on again) for a while now. I built this tool to help people who have a job, or are hunting for a job. There are two things I hate even with jobs I love: the often stressful hunt for the job initially, and performance reviews every year after that (or sometimes more often than annually!) I built HuntHelper to make those things a little easier. HuntHelper works by reminding me to track my achievements at work. Every couple of weeks or so I enter something I’m proud of doing at work, and HuntHelper builds up a record of what I’ve done in my job. I add additional information to those achievements such as who I worked with and what skills I used to complete the task. When performance review season comes around, I have a tidy list to work from that I can sort by person, skill, or achievement. It helps me make my case for a promotion or raise, and also helps me write peer reviews. HuntHelper really shines when I’m on a job hunt. With my list of achievements, I can build a resume, get help from my professional network, and prepare for interviews using the data I’ve collected at work. At its core, HuntHelper is pretty simple for all that it can do. That said, I would love to get your feedback on how to make HuntHelper easier to use, describe, and be more helpful to anyone who has, is looking for, or has friends who are looking for a job.
