hum - Every song, free. Synced lyrics, no sign-up, open source.

by•
hum is a free music player that runs in your browser. Search any song or paste a playlist link and it plays, with lyrics in time and the whole page taking the colour of the cover. Flip any playlist to For you and it learns from what you finish and skip. Sync your library across devices with one code, no account. It plays through YouTube's official player, so artists still get paid. Open source (MIT), one click to host your own, and it plays inside Claude Code too.

Hey Product Hunt, I'm Anzal. My music subscription went up again and I was bored on a long weekend, so I tested how far Opus 5.5 could go on UI if I acted as the director. hum is what came out. What it does: • Search any song, or paste a playlist link, and it plays • Lyrics in time, and the page takes the colour of the cover • For you: any playlist gets a version tuned to what you finish and skip, plus a few new finds each day • Sync across devices with one code. Your library is encrypted in the browser, so the server can't read it • /music in Claude Code plays it right above your prompt It's MIT licensed and you can host your own copy on Cloudflare's free plan in one click. I'd love to hear what feels slow or missing. Speed is the thing I care about most.
