With HUG, I want to help you save your family history forever, in a modern and secure environment. HUG is a safe and comforting platform where you can celebrate memories instead of focusing on loss and loneliness. Ultimately, HUG wants to democratize end-of-life services and be the most complete solution on the market. 🔖 How it started, and why? I first considered the idea a few years ago after the loss of my grandmother. I was abroad at the time and found myself sharing pictures and stories with my family through WhatsApp, which felt completely inappropriate. The idea resurfaced during Covid-19 when I realized the importance of coming together emotionally, while staying physically apart. That’s when I decided to create HUG, to serve as a modern digital tribute, a tool to remembrance and healing. 🚀 How it works HUG functions like a private social media platform that connects friends and family around the memory of those we’ve lost. It is just 3 simple steps: - Step 1 - REMEMBER - When you sign up, you can create (or join) a memorial page where you can upload pictures, video, voice and text. Your HUG page will serve as a modern digital tribute that you can keep forever. - Step 2 - SHARE - You can then add as many people as you want to the invite-only page. Reconnect, discover new stories and make sure future generations know about your loved ones. - Step 3 - CELEBRATE - Focus on happy memories together. Anytime, anywhere and forever.
