HomeBuddy Alpha - Stop Guessing. Start Maintaining

by
HomeBuddy.space turns home documents into actionable maintenance intelligence. Instead of manual task lists, users upload inspection reports, warranties, or manuals, and the system analyzes them to create structured home systems and maintenance tasks. By modeling a house the way contractors think about it, HomeBuddy helps homeowners understand what they own, what needs attention, and how to prevent costly repairs before problems arise.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 Drew here. I built HomeBuddy after realizing how strange homeownership actually is. When you buy a house, you end up with a stack of documents: inspection reports, warranties, manuals, permits. But none of those really translate into a clear understanding of what you should do to maintain your home. Most people just deal with things when they break. HomeBuddy started as a simple maintenance reminder app, but while building it I realized the real problem wasn’t reminders. The problem is that homeowners often don’t know what work their house actually needs. So I shifted the approach: instead of asking people to manually enter everything, you can upload documents you already have and the system turns them into home systems and maintenance tasks. The goal is to organize your house the way a contractor would think about it — roof, HVAC, plumbing, electrical — so you can actually understand what you own and what needs attention before something becomes a big repair. This is an early version and I’m genuinely curious what people think. If you try it, I’d love to know: • What documents you’d want analyzed • Whether the tasks it generates make sense • What would make this genuinely useful for you as a homeowner Thanks for taking a look. Happy to answer questions or hear any feedback.
