How are you connecting ideas across books and papers today?

I've been deep in this problem for the past year. I'd highlight a paper, then months later highlight a book that directly contradicted it, and have zero way to surface that connection.
That's why I built Highlyt. But I'm curious: what does your reading-to-thinking workflow actually look like right now?
Do you use Readwise, Obsidian, Notion, or just... let highlights die in Kindle? And when two things you've read conflict with each other, how do you even know?
I'd genuinely love to understand how people are handling this, especially researchers, students, or anyone reading a lot of non-fiction. Your workflow might change what I build next.
