So i made hidetext.sh, basically you paste some text and get an encrypted link you can send. no account needed and you can make it delete itself after someone opens it once. it also does qr codes and files now. honestly i mostly built it because i was tired of sending wifi passwords and api keys over slack and them just sitting there forever lol
kinda curious what other people use this kind of thing for though. and if theres anything pastebin or similar sites do that annoys you. been thinking about adding a proper code sharing thing too, like paste a snippet and it actually highlights the syntax instead of just plain text, but not sure if people would use that over a gist anyway lmk what you think.
Share text and files privately with end-to-end encrypted links. No accounts, no tracking, and an optional burn-after-read so your message disappears once it’s opened. Also does QR sharing.
