heyly.io - A video greeting + buttons where you ARE the testimonial

by
Unlike chat widgets that annoy or testimonial sliders nobody trusts, heyly.io puts the real you on your site — a short video greeting + up to 5 custom buttons (book, call, WhatsApp, socials). Swap videos and CTAs like Instagram Stories, in 30 seconds. Show a different greeting per page. Smart frequency so you never pester visitors. One script tag, no developer. No testimonials yet? You ARE the testimonial.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I run a small web agency, and for years I built beautiful sites for clients that all had the same problem: they were faceless. A new business has no five-star reviews, no big testimonials wall — just a logo and some text that could've been written by anyone (and these days, probably AI). But the founder is the proof. People buy from people. I kept thinking: why can't visitors just see and hear the real human before they reach out? So I built heyly.io — a short video greeting that sits in the corner of your site, with up to 5 buttons (book a call, WhatsApp, socials, whatever you need). The part I'm most proud of: you can swap the video and CTAs like Instagram Stories in 30 seconds, show a different greeting on different pages, and it's smart about not annoying visitors like chat widgets do. It installs with one script tag — no developer, no plugin. I dogfood it on my own sites. I'd genuinely love your feedback, especially: what would make you actually record a video for your own site — and what would stop you? That second part is what I'm trying to solve next 🙏

Can you test different greetings on the same page to see what actually converts?

@karimbenkeroum good idea! Currently not.

It is possible for example test one week one greeting, next week another greeting. And analytics will show you views, plays and leads per video.

I really like the idea behind this. With so much AI-generated content online, seeing the actual person behind a business instantly creates more trust and makes a website feel more human.

The ability to quickly swap videos and CTAs is a smart touch too. It feels much more dynamic than a static "About Me" page that never gets updated.

Personally, what would make me record a video is knowing it helps visitors connect with me faster. What would stop me is probably overthinking it and wanting it to be perfect 😅

@gabriella_anjani ohh overthinking … im the same and slowly teaching myself not to :) just record the video, and done! Nobody know what your perfect looks like. But to see real and not perfect person behind business … thats what im aiming :)
