👋 Hey everyone, I’m Gary, the maker of HeyAgent.
I built this tool because I kept running into the same problem: AI coding agents are great, but using them in the terminal meant sitting there, waiting for the next prompt. It felt slow and distracting, and I wanted a way to step away without losing the flow.
HeyAgent is my fix for that - it’s a wrapper for AI coding agents (like Claude Code, with Codex CLI and Gemini CLI support coming soon) that extends their core functionality with a simple toolkit. Right now it handles instant stop + permission notifications, and I’m working on two-way chat, checkpoints, and voice input next.

Nice product. Clean solution to a real problem. But charging $20 for notifications on top of a Claude Pro subscription which is also $20 feels steep. Curious if you plan lighter tiers or bundles.
@umair_syed Thank you for the feedback, it’s really useful for me! The bottleneck for pricing is WhatsApp: it can be extremely expensive. Even at this price, in some countries I wouldn’t be profitable after a year with just normal usage (and this is a lifetime license). I may offer a base package with lower pricing and add WhatsApp as an optional paid add-on.
