Habitopolis - 3D task tracker with activity intensity heatmap

by
Habitopolis turns your habits into a living 3D city. Every activity is a tower, every day is a floor — and the more you do, the hotter that floor's color glows. Hit a milestone and the floor instantly turns green. Drag towers to rearrange your skyline, share projects with friends (read-only, so only you can build), and post your progress with one click to X, Reddit, or LinkedIn. Not another checklist — your skyline, growing one hour at a time.

Hey everyone! 👋 I built Habitopolis because every habit tracker I tried made progress feel like a chore — a checklist, a streak counter, a boring grid of checkmarks. I wanted something that actually felt rewarding to look at. So I started sketching: what if every habit was a tower, and every day was a floor? The more you show up, the taller your skyline gets. Miss a few days and the tower just... waits for you, quietly, instead of guilt-tripping you with a broken streak. The hardest part was the "heat map" — figuring out how to represent intensity (not just "did it happen" but "how much did I do") through color and light in a way that reads instantly, without needing a legend every time. That went through a lot of iterations before it clicked. Along the way I also added things people kept asking for once they saw early versions: dragging towers to rearrange your board, sharing a project with friends or teammates (read-only, so nobody can mess with your data), and one-click sharing to socials so you can actually show off the skyline you've built. Would love to hear what you think — especially if you're someone who's bounced off habit trackers before. What made you stop using the last one you tried?

Building towers based on habits is a fun twist on tracking, and watching the color shift as the day goes on is genuinely satisfying. Wish the share images were a bit bigger though.
