Could someone describe the differences between Gusto and Zenefits? It's so difficult to tell them apart even just by cost.

What's the deal with this current style? It's zendesk, intercom, asana, and many many more. why? example:
They all look the same nowadays... It's so strange... Also the forced inclusivity in their designs. Not that they can't represent a diverse client base but it comes across awkward. Maybe this design is the outcome of trying to meet all of politically correct check boxes while still maintaining a human element? I just don't get it.
