The current system, characterized by delayed response times, limited reporting options, and inefficient communication among authorities, often leaves individuals in distress with no viable means to track their missing possessions. We hope to achieve it soon. Where is the GitHub repository for it? 💻 There is some pending code cleaning going on before the project is made open source for everyone to contribute and use. How does it work? 🛠️ It uses the clip-vit-large model to create a combination of sparse and dense vector embeddings and stores them in a vector database (in my case- pinecone). It utilizes the KNN (K-Nearest Neighbour) to find the closest matching vectors and returns the results accordingly.

I would love to see it evolve as a standard open source tool which schools, universities can implement according to their scale of usage when it comes to lost and find items. Police stations and government organisations is another way to go.

Would love to see large workplaces and even malls with thousands of footfall incorporating People tend to loose their stuff in malls, cinema halls and shopping complexes ( I also lost my vehicle's key in the biggest mall of bhopal and later when went to the same spot it wasn't there, later on found it with one of the cleaning staff).
