Would you kill an AI feature your users love?

by

Here’s an uncomfortable scenario:

An AI feature is popular. Engagement is growing. Customers mention it in feedback.

But after model costs, retries, and failed calls, the feature loses money every time people use it.

What would you do first?

  • Raise the price

  • Add usage limits

  • Switch to a cheaper model

  • Keep it as a loss leader

  • Kill the feature

I’m building Grow or Die around this exact tension: growth is only healthy when the economics survive it.

For founders building AI products—what metric would finally make you act?
