GRID is the magical surface where numbers and narrative meet. Discover the best all-in-one solution for visualizing and presenting data from spreadsheets & databases. Now with a GPT-3 powered formula copilot.
Hey all, thank you for your support.
I think this latest release of ours is a game changer for people that are beginning to use spreadsheets, but no-less so for those that have had to use spreadsheets for years.
If you haven't tried so already, go ahead copy a table of data somewhere on the internet paste straight into the GRID document and see it instantly turn into a chart. I dare you to find a faster way to convert external data into visualization.

I was extremely eager to try out the latest version and observe the integration of AI into the product while putting it to the test and challenge the AI. I must admit, my expectations were exceeded, the product is impressive.
Grid is a great solution for visualizing and presenting data from spreadsheets and databases. The GPT-3 powered formula copilot is a great addition that makes it even easier to use.
@bilal_niaz thank you! We’re glad to hear you like GRID. Hoping the formula assistant will save you valuable time moving forward 🤝

That looks amazingly useful. Are there any limits on the number of rows or cells per spreadsheet in the free plan or in paid plans?
And, are your formulas proprietary or would copy/pasting a formula from Google sheets or Excel work as well?
Hi @torsten_p, it IS amazingly useful :) I recommend simply signing up for free and giving it a spin.
There are no limitations on the number of cells or rows in our plans.
Our functions are compatible with those of traditional spreadsheets, generally Excel first, then Google Sheets. What that means is that almost any formula that you copy from either of these these spreadsheets will work in GRID, but where there are differences between the implementation in Excel and Google Sheets, we will generally "do what Excel does".
You can easily copy individual formulas from either software, but you can also copy entire ranges with formulas. From Google Sheets that works without any acrobatics, but from Excel you'll have to switch to "Show formulas" before copying. Then - of course - you can import existing spreadsheets from either into GRID.
For more details on our engine, including our function support, you'll find an in-depth write-up here: https://medium.grid.is/we-built-...

@hjalli thanks a lot for the comprehensive reply, I'll have a try!
Congrats on the launch 🚀
The new formula assistant is absolutely amazing. I'm not an expert spreadsheet user but I usually get basic formulas right and know what results I want to get, and being able to express the outcome easily in text is a game changer 🔥
