Google Drive Add on makes it easy for you to open the recently used Google Drive Files right from Gmail. Just like the Calendar and keep functionality as part of Gmail Sidebar. Locating and opening the file is a matter of one click.

Gmail and Google Drive are products used very frequently in Day to Day work. I loved the Gmail sidebar and how it enabled us to block time on calendar without having to open a separate page. For me, the irritation was that everytime I want to open a Google Drive file, I have to go to Drive or doc/sheet/form etc page and then locate my file and open that. With this, i can do that in one go, and makes it fast. Open sourcing the code since it's way too easy to do. Next Iterations: 1. Adding a button to create a new sheet/doc/file etc. 2. Adding functionality to upload a new file. 3. Adding a search box to make it easy to locate without leaving the window. 4. Adding a notification/Highlighter when someone else has updated the doc you last updated. (Useful when you are working on a shared doc and don't know if that has been updated). Releasing an early version with source code. Show me some love PH. :)
