Gmail 5.0 - A facelift for Gmail on iOS

Having to use Safari now over Chrome to open links is a major turn off for me....sigh...

After years of no change, Gmail for iOS gets finally a facelift on par with Android. I was afraid they were going to be all in Inbox which i hate and would kill the Gmail app. On the good news: faster. On the bad: label management is a disaster. for some reasons they don t use the same display rules as on desktop and you can t hide labels... oh and they still did not had any 3d touch shortcut on iOS

Finally! This looks great. I thought they had abandoned it.

Would be helpful if the OS tags or perhaps the subtitle (in this case "A facelift for Gmail on iOS") were inside PH email notifications. iOS was not mentioned in the email, so I wasted time by reading the email, coming here to read the announcement, etc., etc. Thanks.

Nice update! However, I thought that Inbox was meant to replace Gmail.

I really wish they would integrate Google Calendar like Outlook did. Only reason why I won't download the app.

Big upgrade for iPad.

Still no unified inbox? No snoozing of emails? How is this not standard features on any "new" email client?

Big improvement! Visually more compelling and more cohesive compare to the desktop site, and the Drive app. Good job!
