Six months ago, almost to the day, we launched Glass. From the beginning, we've wanted to build a trustworthy & independent home for your photography on the Web. Couldn’t be more thrilled with the growth in the community and platform. Because we don’t have investors and only answer to our community, your feedback has been invaluable. In six months, we’ve launched: 🗄 Categories Categories improved discovery overnight. https://glass.photo/highlights/i... 🖼 Public Profiles Sharing your work elsewhere has never been easier. https://glass.photo/highlights/i... ⚡️ Highlights Highlighting some favorites from of our community. https://glass.photo/highlights/s... 🗓 Monthly Categories Constantly adding more Categories. https://glass.photo/highlights/n... ✨ Appreciations A like button, but without the ad network. https://glass.photo/highlights/a... 🌍 Oh, and we have our private alpha for Glass on the Web coming in the next few weeks. https://glass.photo/highlights/o... 💡 Have a feature you’d like to see on Glass that’d make you feel more at home? Right this way. https://feedback.glass.photo Oh, and now, of course, Glass for iPad. Which brings all of these features to an immersive experience designed specifically for the large screen. https://glass.photo/highlights/ipad

@turoczy @danieleagee Thanks! Yep, here we are, building Glass!

@danieleagee You were hiding below the fold on the Makers list 😂

I was originally drawn to Glass for its "back to basics" emphasis on, you know, photography. Its so refreshing to be part of an online community devoid of direct marketing, popularity contests, influencers, etc. The new iPad version is an excellent upgrade, looking forward to seeing what comes next.

@jeremias1 We've got more coming, and so glad you're enjoying it so far. Thank you!

"Community, not comparison" – I love the idea! :)

Any info on what's new in Glass 2.0, team Glass? Well, I know - as a beta user, but some info here would be helpful.

I used the one month trial back in Oct 21 and I loved it. Glass 2.0 looks powerful. But then again I'm not a professional photographer so I'm not sure if I want to pay that much. Guess, devs were successful in keeping the experience spam free. 😆

@choudhary Could you believe that we've only had to remove three spam accounts in six months?
Harshit Choudhary
@danieleagee damn! that'd make a nice case study for hackernews readers.
