Slick expansion, GitHub crew! Feature request: AI that writes all the code for me. 🙏🏼
+1. But also, just some NLP IFTTT style for actions would also be cool. "When I push a new thing, test it and put it on the inter webs. Azure & GCP please."
do you code yourself?
you could add « learn to code in a bootcamp » on your maker’s list 🤔⭐️.
"Biggest ship since the pull request" SO COOL. I can't wait to see all the creativity that comes from this... A big ecosystem will be built and GitHub is just really awesome pipes. Devs should focus on what matters, not how that work happens.
you can just try gitlab they've been doing this for years.
could someone compare this to gitlab. I understand that gitlab is years ahead in this area but anyway.
i use both and from my experience Gitlab is less responsive compared to Github.
that's one of their biggest issues, but their pricing is also much better.
Look a lot like GitLab pipelines and jobs. Great to hear that GitHub is finally doing the same - with its reach we will get wider adoption of CI/CD practices based on git workflow.
This sentence from the docs looks interesting: "You can write your own actions or customize your project with open-source actions shared in public repositories on GitHub. Explore public actions created by other developers in the visual workflow editor sidebar."
This strikes me as the freelancer’s dream. I, personally, would not use this for continuous integration, as hinted at, but it would make for an excellent alert automation/maintenance scheduling tool.
Awesome feature and it’s built with React!
nice product
This looks amazing.
Nice idea :D
So good y'all, been having tons of (useful!) fun with this. Any ideas on when the general populous might be able to access them?
