GitHub - Research notes that warn you when papers get retracted

by•
Learning Ledger remembers what you learn from research papers and warns you when a retraction or correction makes it wrong. It checks Retraction Watch and Crossref, decays confidence by field, and flags every claim built on a bad paper. Built with Python, FastAPI, ChromaDB and Gemini for Hacktoberfest. I'm a beginner, so this is a friendly place for first PRs: docs, tests, UI fixes, new features. Fork it, pick an issue, open a PR. github.com/danishjk2156/learning-ledger-AI

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Danish, a final-year CS student, and this is my first big open-source project, built for Hacktoberfest. I made it because a retracted paper shouldn't sit silently in your notes. Learning Ledger checks your saved claims against Retraction Watch and Crossref and warns you when they stop being true. I'm still learning, so I'd love your help. Even a typo fix or a test counts. Beginners are especially welcome, and I'll guide you through your first PR. Easy ways in: Docs and README fixes Tests UI polish Zotero sync and LaTeX .bib auditing (bigger ones) Repo:
