Why I built Simple Chat: small business owners shouldn't need a developer to add a chatbot

I'm the founder of Get Simple Chat, and I wanted to share a bit of the story before we launch.

A while back I watched three people I know — a café owner, my dentist, and a local consultant — all struggle with the exact same thing: their websites went silent outside business hours, and they were drowning in repeat questions on Instagram, WhatsApp and email. "Are you open?" "Do you ship here?" "How much does X cost?"

Every existing chatbot tool I looked at was either:

  • Built for enterprise teams with budgets and developer

  • Or so basic it could only handle scripted FAQs

Nothing in between for the small business owner who just wants something that works, looks like part of their brand, and can be set up during a coffee break.

So I built Get Simple Chat. The whole product is designed around one principle: a non-technical owner should go from signup to a live chatbot in about 5 minutes.

A few things I'm particularly proud of: • 4 selectable AI models — pick the one that fits your case, switch anytime • 80+ languages with auto-detection (huge for tourism, e-commerce, hospitality) • Knowledge base versioning with one-click rollback (so you can experiment without fear) • White-label option for agencies reselling under their own brand
