Would you rather have more time or more money?

by
A simple question for the PH community. This year, would you prefer to have 2x more time (for family and personal projects) or rather have 2x more money?

More time without question - however in the startup world, money often equates to time and vice versa

Used wisely, more time can bring you way more money.

@valilus exactly

@valilus @andrew_bagby more money can also bring more time :)
Vali Lupoaie
@iban_rios agreed!

@valilus I’d opt for the opposite. More money = more time.

money. live fast, die young
Software Guy (Aarvy)
@richw But how do you live fast?😥
Rich Watson
@software_guy an extreme bucket list with lots of money to execute each one on that list
Daniel Engels
@software_guy @richw what's the most expensive thing on your dream list?
Rich Watson
@software_guy @daniel_engels a trip to orbit the earth, or to the moon. preferably on a spacex craft

I've always chosen occupations that allowed me more time freedom, lower pay than other options, and greater time management. I saw CEOs, physicians, attorneys, and workaholics and I didn't want to be a part of it. I worked as a university professor in my first job. It provided me with a decent middle-class pay and lots of free time to pursue other interests. That developed into a second job where I could work as much or as little as I wanted, writing books and giving speeches. Fortunately, I was able to achieve financial independence before to turning 50. No remorse. Although not perfect, my life has been really, really fantastic.

@cbrandoff_official I started a university career too but got bored rather fast. Great that you've been able to live as you intended!

For sure more time. More time will eventually bring in more money.

Time for sure. It is easy to convert time to money, but the opposite is quite complex.
Daniel Engels
@fabian_maume well money could buy you quite a bunch of time-saving services
Fabian Maume
@daniel_engels yes but the conversion rate is not that great. There is also a hard limit in how much time you can save: you cannot save more time than the time you are currently spending on tasks.

This is a difficult question to answer because it depends on the individual. For some, more money would be ideal because they could use it to buy things that they want or need. On the other hand, others might prefer more time because they could spend more time with family and friends or pursue their passions in life. Ultimately, what matters most is what makes you happy! For me, it's time. But, it's also because I have got basic covered and can say time and not money :)
Daniel Engels
@mjain_mayank interestingly, after some basic level, the answer doesn't seem to depend too much on income - but rather on personal preferences.
Mayank Jain
@daniel_engels I think so :)

I have to bring something to the family

Money will not embrace you in the evening, so I prefer time which I could spend with my family ;)

@yaramatiash I totally get you.
Primer
@yaramatiash if you have more money then you need to work less = more time.
