Why closing all browser tabs at the end of the day improved my morning focus
For years I left fifty browser tabs open across three different windows thinking I would get back to them the next morning. Instead I started every workday by feeling overwhelmed, by a digital workspace.
I started an evening routine of closing every single tab before shutting down my laptop. If an article or a document truly mattered I saved it to a reading list instead of letting it sit in my browser.
The first week felt uncomfortable like I was losing track of projects. By the week my morning routine completely changed because I sat down to a clean slate every single day.
My daily deep work time increased significantly because I stopped wasting mental energy sorting through clutter every morning.
How do you manage clutter so it does not slow down your workflow?
