Whats the secret to having a successful product hunt launch?

I launched grillr 3 months ago, when it was a raw MVP, terrible ui and ux, had no good elements, and my launch went terrible, i thought product hunt was a random directory so i put an AI description and no product screenshots. And i didnt market my launch at all, no posts, nothing.

Now in 3 months im looking to go again, but before i do id like to hear from you guys, what makes a good product hunt launch? differentiating yourself from the launches that get 5 upvotes to the ones that get 200+ upvotes.
