What tools do you use to analyze SaaS user behavior? Here’s what worked for me...

by

When you're building a SaaS platform, understanding user behavior isn’t optional, it's essential for growth.

Two tools I highly recommend (and personally use across multiple SaaS products) are:

1. @Microsoft Clarity – for real-time session recordings

→ It shows how users interact with your product: where they click, where they drop off, which features they spend the most time on.

Helped me fix confusing flows, improve onboarding, and double down on what’s working.

2. @GA4 Auditor Google Analytics (with custom events) – for impact tracking

→ Perfect for analyzing what features create the most value.

I’ve used it to see where our widgets perform best, which pages convert, and even which countries drive the most engaged traffic.

Combined, these tools helped me plan feature improvements, prioritize dev efforts, and build better onboarding flows.

  • Have you used these tools?

  • Got any other analytics tools that helped you improve your SaaS product?

Would love to hear your experience and learn about other underrated tools out there.
