What's your wildest 'things that don't scale' move that actually worked?

Not looking for the usual "DM people on LinkedIn" or "personalized cold emails"
I want the weird stuff you tried that had insane results.
I'll start: We sent 50 pizzas with custom packaging to super specific people in our target persona.
Result: 95% called us back and hopped on a call.
The kicker? It wasn't even that expensive : got a bulk deal on the pizzas and DIY'd the packaging ourselves.
What's your story of doing something completely unscalable that paid off big time?

A very interesting topic! I believe that people who come up with such innovative ideas are not only highly creative but, more importantly, have a deep understanding of the channels through which users engage with information.
@gin_6078Â absolutely !
That's so creative! :)
I slipped in handwritten notes in my books for my readers. Many posted the photos on their Instagram that got my book extra visibility.
@rohanrecommends Oh nice! :) What were you saying in those handwritten notes? I remember an e-commerce company that faked this (by using a handwritten-style font) in all their orders and it worked really well (people were sharing it on their IG stories)
@hanafi_iss haha yes there is a possibility of faking the handwritten note. I actually wrote it. I was writing to them spiritual notes along with feel-good well wishes. :)
i recorded 70+ free video pitch deck reviews to build social proof for roastmysaaspitchdeck.com. now cold traffic is converting much better and faster than it would if I didn't put in that time up front.
@emikes919Â that's insane work, just made some calculus : that's about 23h of video. Love these kinds of things and specially hearing that it's working
@hanafi_iss haha yeah thanks bro. If there's one thing I've learned, it's all just a grind. No way around it.

Okay, you’ve got to hear this crazy story my friend told me about how they landed some dream clients in the creative industry. So, they were struggling to get these big companies to even notice them, right? Instead of the usual boring emails or cold calls, they came up with this totally wild idea.
They hired a local street artist to paint personalized graffiti murals—on huge canvases, not on walls or anything—that were all themed around each company’s brand story. Then, they delivered these massive pieces of art straight to the companies’ offices, along with handwritten notes explaining how they planned to bring that same level of creativity to their marketing.
And get this: every single company actually responded! Most of them even invited my friend’s team in just to meet the “mad people who sent the graffiti.” Out of five companies, they ended up converting three into long-term clients. But the best part? The whole story blew up in the local creative community, and they kept getting referrals for months afterward.
