What is the hardest part of getting your first 100 users for a developer tool?

Finding interested people is one thing. Finding users who have the exact problem, will try an early product, and give useful feedback is much harder.
Where should a developer actually look for those first 100 real users via product hunt?

Product Hunt discussions are a good start, but I've found the best early users are the ones who actively comment and share detailed feedback rather than just upvoting.

@saira_bano4 Agreed. A few engaged users who test the product and explain what is not working are more valuable than a large group of passive upvoters.

@riffready Reddit has been the strongest for me because developers are already discussing specific problems there. How do you approach posting without it feeling promotional?
