What are your experiences with Fable 5.1 not for coding?

I used Fable 5.1 for coding whole day and it's definitely the best publicly available model for this purpose. I'm curious what are your experiences related to other use cases.

Mine has been pretty mixed outside coding.

I really like Fable for design work. In Claude Design especially, it seems to understand visual intent and layouts much better than the lower models. Because it burns through usage pretty quickly, I usually start the work with Fable, get the direction and harder decisions sorted, and then move to a lower model for the rest.

Brainstorming is where I struggle with Claude now. It has become a bit of a jar of Nutella for me. Everything gets coated in agreement. I can give it an idea that I specifically want challenged and quite often it will still find a way to validate it, repeat parts of my reasoning back to me, and make the whole thing sound nicer.

That is a problem when I am using AI as a thinking partner rather than asking it to execute something. I would much rather have it tell me that an idea is weak and explain why.
