Jakub, solo-founder from Poland, building an AI Gateway in Go - GoModel

Hello,
A year ago, I traded my 9-to-5 software engineering job for a 5-to-9 start-up routine. So far, I've built GoModel (launching soon here) and this product consumes 100% of my time.
In the past I worked for many companies as a software engineer. Some of them are Sabre, WorldRemit and GPC.
Recently, I've been exploring ways to optimize AI requests/prompts/workflows to save money (prompt compression, intelligent/smart routing, semantic caching etc).
A few months ago I was at Tech Week in Boston and New York and I love this initiative. I'm planning my trip to Tech Week in SF and LA in October. Who is coming there?

Do you think about the exit when you start a new project?

Some founders build to run the company for decades. Others already have an acquisition, a certain valuation, or even a type of buyer in mind.

I usually think more about building something that works first. But I can also see how the exit you want could change the company you build from day one.

What are the 5 tools you simply couldn't do your work without?

This could be related to your industry, or even a side project you're working on.

Here are my 5 (I couldn't function without them):

  1. Grammarly proofreading my texts, not just posts, but also client communication

  2. ChatGPT / Claude mostly brainstorming, help with copy, and summarising

  3. Figma I can put the basic graphics together quickly.

  4. Translator sounds incredibly old-school, but English is not my mother tongue

  5. Gmail and not only for communication, but also for storing ideas and sending myself email reminders for posts
