Something to think about it

Why do navigation apps still struggle with food discovery during road trips?

I've noticed something interesting while traveling.

It's easy to find restaurants nearby, but much harder to answer questions like:

  • Which local place is actually worth stopping for?

  • Is the signature dish available when I pass through?

  • Am I arriving too early or too late?

  • Is it worth taking a small detour?

Most of us end up relying on Google Maps, YouTube, Instagram, blogs, or recommendations from friends, but that still feels fragmented.

I'm curious how other travelers solve this.

What has been your most memorable food stop on a road trip, and how did you discover it?

Also, what do you think existing navigation or travel apps are missing when it comes to helping people discover authentic local food?
