Pacing the Frontier-A statement from 1,224 employees of frontier AI companies calling government

just saw that there is a petition going on by the big frontier model companies, asking the US government to develop technical and governance tools to pace the AI development.

Wondering what the community things and if you read it as well as a completely centralize idea which will be owned by a government and create a monopol?Or did we really reached Singularity and it`s a urgent help-me call?
