Linkedin "Product Hunt Marketers"??

Is it normal on the day of a launch to be bombarded with people offering to "upvote" your launches?

My inbox is filling up with people offering people not bots and x number of upvotes for y dollars.

I'm in the anti-scam, anti-fraud business and this has my spidey-senses tingling.
