πŸš€ Launching in a week β€” here's my PH checklist. What am I missing?

byβ€’

Hey beautiful community πŸ‘‹

I'm new to the Product Hunt world. I've been building my product solo for the past 8 months and I'm launching this Thursday 🎯 β€” so I've been obsessively reading launch advice and building a checklist.

Here's what I've got so far, split into 3 phases. Please tear it apart and tell me what I'm missing

1️⃣ Pre-launch
β€’ πŸ’¬ Engage genuinely in the PH community (not just drop links)
β€’ πŸ“„ Get the coming-soon page live so people can follow
β€’ ⏳ Make sure supporters have accounts that aren't brand new (warm-up matters)
β€’ 🌍 Warm up your audience outside PH too β€” LinkedIn, X, communities
β€’ πŸ“© DM people ahead of time so launch day isn't a cold ask

2️⃣ Launch day
β€’ ⚑ Go hard in the first 4 hours β€” velocity decides everything
β€’ 🀝 Personally follow up with everyone you spoke to beforehand
β€’ πŸ’¬ Reply to every single comment, fast

3️⃣ Post-launch
β€’ πŸ—£οΈ Keep engaging and actually collect the feedback
β€’ πŸ… Add the PH badge to the landing page
β€’ πŸ“¬ Follow up with everyone who commented

My one open question:
❓ What's the one thing you wish you'd done differently on your launch day?

One thing I'd add is testing your onboarding with someone who has never seen the product. Fresh eyes often catch the little things you no longer notice.

Β great call β€” and the one I've been avoiding because it's uncomfortable πŸ˜… I've stared at my own onboarding so long I can't tell what's confusing anymore. Did you do this formally, or just send it cold and watch?

List's solid. On the DM point, the ones that land aren't the "launching Thursday, would appreciate support" version, they're a real question about the thing you're building. People show up for the conversation, the support follows on its own. Good luck Thursday.
